Romeo And Juliet Essay

Mercutio, fun , playful and a jokester but how do these traits affect the storie of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet was written by William Sheakspere. It is about 2 star crossed lovers who cant be together due to the hatred of their parents. I believe that Mercutio's negative traits and positive traits both played a role in the play.

One of the positive traits that play a role in the plays is that he loves to cheer up the moment when every thing is sad and down. Like when they were walking to the party of the capulets mercutio was joking with him even though romeo was sad because of Rosaline.  One other positive that plays a role in the play is ears no man for example in Act 3, Scene 1 lines 55 Mercutio's says "Mens eyes were made to look, and let them gaze. I will not budge for no mans pleasure , I." This means he doesn't care if people are looking at him.

One negative trait that played a role in the play is that he hates the capulets even though he has no reason to hate them. Its sort of relates to peer pressure a little because Mercutio is Romeos best friend so he automatically hates the capulets. This led to his death because he ended up fighting Tybalt and dying. One other negative trait that played a role in the play is that he gets to carried away for example in Act 1, Scene 4 lines 59-100 Mercutio gets really carried away with the Queen Mab speech and says a lot of stuff and he gets really angry for no reason.

In conclusion, the text relates to the world because when parents hate each other it can affect the children as well and then the children will go through no restraints to see each other.
